Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Renewal Software, LLC operates LampLit and lamplitapp.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app, visit this website, or contact us.

At a glance

  • Your reading plans, progress, and preferences are stored on your device. Reading data can also sync through your personal iCloud account.
  • We do not upload your reading history, progress, or preferences to Firebase or RevenueCat.
  • Firebase provides reading plan downloads using an automatically created anonymous account.
  • Apple processes purchases. RevenueCat helps manage Premium subscriptions and provides subscription analytics.
  • If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send.

Reading data and iCloud

LampLit stores your selected plans, reading schedules, completion history, and preferences locally. When iCloud syncing is enabled, reading data is also stored in your personal iCloud account so it can sync across your devices.

This means reading data can leave your device for iCloud; it is not uploaded to our servers. You can manage iCloud access through your device’s settings. Disabling sync does not necessarily delete information already stored in iCloud.

Reading plan downloads and Firebase

LampLit uses Firebase Authentication and Firebase Storage, services provided by Google, to download reading plan content. The app automatically creates an anonymous Firebase account solely to access these downloads. You do not need to provide a name, email address, or password for this purpose.

Firebase processes an anonymous account identifier and technical connection information, such as your IP address, to authenticate requests, deliver content, and protect the service. An anonymous account is still a service record; it does not mean that no information is processed outside your device.

LampLit does not use Firebase to store your reading progress, reading history, or preferences. The current app does not offer personal account registration or profile photo uploads.

See Privacy and Security in Firebase.

Purchases and RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, determine access to LampLit Premium, support purchase restoration, and understand subscription performance through its dashboard analytics.

RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user identifier, purchase history and transaction information, subscription status, and technical information such as device type, operating system, and recent app activity. Its identifier is separate from the anonymous Firebase account used for reading plan downloads. The app initializes RevenueCat when it starts, so subscription-service requests are not limited to people who make a purchase.

LampLit does not send RevenueCat your reading history, progress, name, or email address. Apple handles payment details; LampLit and the RevenueCat purchase integration do not receive your full payment card information.

RevenueCat processes subscription data on our behalf. For provider information, see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

Website visits and support

This website does not include advertising or analytics scripts. Our hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and requested pages, to deliver and secure the website.

If you email us or send feedback, we receive your email address, message, and any details or attachments you choose to include. We use that information to respond and investigate your request. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for support.

Sharing information

We use service providers to deliver reading plans, synchronize data, manage subscriptions, host the website, and handle support. Information is processed for the purposes described above. We do not sell your personal information.

Apple’s handling of iCloud and App Store information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. Our providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Retention and your choices

Local app data, personal iCloud data, anonymous authentication records, subscription records, and support correspondence are stored separately. Removing LampLit from a device does not automatically delete records held in iCloud or by service providers.

You can manage iCloud through your device settings. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple subscriptions. Removing the app or requesting data deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription.

For questions about information associated with your use of LampLit, or to request access, correction, or deletion, contact info@renewalsoftware.com. We may need information to locate the relevant records and verify your request. Please do not send passwords or payment card details. Some records may need to be retained to satisfy legal obligations. Available privacy rights depend on where you live.

Children’s privacy

LampLit is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Security

We rely on device protections and the security controls of our service providers to protect information. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.

Changes and contact

We will update this page and its date when the policy changes.
